Wilma Vaverka Fuxa of Marshall passed away May 17, 2020 at home with her family around her. She was born July 7, 1929 to Lidmill and Stella (Houska) Vaverka of Hennessey Oklahoma. She attended Bison Catholic School and then graduated from Hennessey High School. Wilma continued her education at Oklahoma State University.

Wilma married Henry Fuxa, who also attended Bison School, on April 14, 1948. They established their home on a farm near Marshall Oklahoma. Wilma became a traditional farmer's wife, working in the fields, plus delivering her much anticipated home cooked meals to the farm hands.

Wilma was a member of St Camillus Catholic Church and alter society. She loved playing cards, polka dancing, and road trips with her husband and their friends. Later in life she loved traveling with her daughter and granddaughters. She not only had the title of Grandma she held the title of friend and confidant to her grandchildren, spending many hours on the phone staying involved, playing games, and was always there for them.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister Evelyn. She is survived by her daughter Lorene Combs; sons Dean Fuxa and Duane Fuxa; two sisters Dolores Green, Janice Hampton; three granddaughters, Jodi, Kim, Stepheni; and six great grandchildren.

Service will be held at St. Gregory's in Enid, Oklahoma on Friday May 22, 2020 at 11AM.
