Enid, Oklahoma - January 24, 1950 - November 13, 2025

The graveside service for William Wayne Carter, 75-year-old Enid resident, is 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2025, in the mausoleum of Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

William was born January 24, 1950, in Ponca City to Clifford and Marie (Neese) Carter and died November 13, 2025, in Enid. He attended Ponca City schools and graduated with the class of 1968.

On October 23, 1970, he married Delores Raymond.

They moved to Enid where he worked first with Vance Air Force Base before entering into the oil-field.

He later began trucking for Baxter's and other local firms before retiring in 2018.

William and Dolores attended Abundant Life Church. They enjoyed Camping, bowling, and spending time with friends and family.

William is survived by his daughter Marjorie of Oklahoma City, OK.; son Mike Carter and wife Tammy of Lexington, OK; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Delores, son Marcus Carter, and grandson Austin.
