Enid, Oklahoma - Funeral services for Wanda Joyce Tidwell, age 87, of Enid, will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Matt Miles officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Wanda was born on July 3, 1938, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to Charles E. and Louise E. (Walkenhorst) Cutler, and passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in Enid.

She attended Guthrie Public Schools. She married Carl Wayne Tompkins, and they made their home in Enid. She married David C. Tidwell in 1978, and they were married 39 years prior to his passing away in 2017. She was a nurse's aide for NORCE and Greenbrier, for a total of 58 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Zion Lutheran Church, both in Enid.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Carl Tompkins and David Tidwell; three sisters, Alma Marie Mowery, Mary Grace Smith, Erma Louise Hoeltzel; brother, Loren Cutler; and a stepdaughter Patricia Jones. She is survived by a son, Scott Tompkins and wife Faye, of Enid; two nieces, Cheryl Robinson and husband Marvin, of Enid, and Gloria Norris of Wilcox, Arizona; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

Memorial contributions in Wanda's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Feed the Children, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
