Myrna Lee Scott Obituary
Edmond, OK - Myrna Lee Scott passed away April 10, 2025, with her husband at her side. She was born November 30, 1936, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Forrest and Dorothy Potter.
Myrna grew up in Pond Creek, Oklahoma. She met Roy Scott when he moved from eastern Oklahoma to Jefferson, where he played football. Myrna was able to finagle a meeting when the rival schools played a game. She and Roy were married at First Christian Church in Pond Creek in November 1956, and they had a loving relationship for 70 years. She was a loving mother to a son and a daughter. Myrna worked as a dental assistant and also was the organist for many churches in Oklahoma and Texas.
They also enjoyed vacationing in Raton, N.M., where they enjoyed the First Christian Church there and fellowshipping with the pastor and other friends. Myrna also ran a daycare from their home.
Myrna was a fantastic person and friend who would help anytime she was needed.
Myrna is survived by her husband, Dr. Roy Scott, Edmond, OK; son, Jerry Scott, of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Belinda and Scott Rewak, of Dallas, Texas; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Pond Creek Cemetery Pavilion, Pond Creek, OK, where she will be laid to rest among the family and Oklahoma soil she called home. Reverend Diane Morgan and Scott Rewak will officiate.
Myrna's legacy lives on in the hearts she touched, a life well lived, and a woman well loved. To know Myrna was indeed a privilege and a pleasure.
