Enid, Oklahoma - Monte Zaloudek, age 76, of Enid, passed away on April 24, 2026, after an extended illness. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humility, service, and a smile that brought comfort to all who knew him.

Born and raised in Enid, Monte was the beloved son of Francis and Juanita (Estes) Zaloudek. He graduated from Enid High School and later attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

On April 14, 1973, Monte married the love of his life, Valarie Evans. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and devotion, and raised their son, Andrew Zaloudek.

Monte was self-employed for many years, earning the admiration and loyalty of countless customers through his skill, honesty, and dependable workmanship. A gifted designer, builder, and carpenter, he was known for his ability to create, repair, and improve whatever was placed before him. If he did not know how to do something, he would gladly learn. If someone needed help, he was already on the way.

His faith was demonstrated through years of dedicated service to University Place Christian Church, where no task was too small and no need went unanswered. Whether building, repairing, organizing, or ringing the bell at just the right time, Monte gave of himself with joy and without seeking recognition.

Monte will be remembered most for the warmth he carried and the kindness he shared so freely. One family member lovingly said, "He always had so much light and the best smile that brought instant warmth and comfort." To many, Monte's smile was a welcome hug all its own.

He is survived by his son, Andrew Zaloudek; his extended family from the Zaloudek, Estes, and Evans families; and a wide circle of cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Juanita Zaloudek, and his wife, Valarie.

Monte's life was a blessing to this community, and his memory will continue to live on in the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever appreciated. A memorial service for the community will be held on May 9, at 1:00 p.m., at University Place Christian Church, with Pastor Vera Porter officiating.
