Mary Martha Jones, 80, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024, in Enid, Oklahoma. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mary lived a life of love, faith, and joy, leaving behind cherished memories for all who knew her.

Mary was born on July 2, 1944, in Nash, Oklahoma, to Gorman and Flora (Landwehr) Mitchell. She graduated from Nash High School in 1962 and earned her degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 1966. On April 8, 1966, she married the love of her life, Billie (Monty) Jones. Together, they shared 50 years of marriage, raising a beautiful family and creating a legacy of love before Monty's passing in 2016.

Mary was a proud member of Bethel Hawley Baptist Church, where her faith guided her life and inspired others. She found great joy in collecting cookie jars and antiques, a reflection of her appreciation for history and sentimental treasures.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gorman and Flora Mitchell; her brothers, Johnny Mitchell, Vernon Mitchell, and Mark Mitchell; and her husband, Monty Jones.

Mary's love and legacy live on through her family: daughters Molly Silvey and husband Gaylon of Billings, Oklahoma, and Mindy Stringer and husband Mark of El Dorado, Kansas; grandchildren Jordyn Jones and husband Brad of Enid, Oklahoma, and Mason and Miles Stringer of El Dorado, Kansas; and great-grandchildren Brody and Jolea Jones.

There will be a visitation for Mary from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the Bethel Hawley Baptist Church. A funeral service to honor and celebrate Mary's life will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Hawley Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the New Home Cemetery, Nash, OK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel Hawley Baptist Church in Mary's memory, reflecting her spirit of faith and generosity.

Mary will forever be remembered for her kindness, faith, and the love she shared with everyone she met. She will be deeply missed but fondly celebrated by all whose lives she touched.
