Marvin Gene Cink Obituary

Marvin Gene Cink was born on October 5, 1936, to Edward and Susie (Conrady) Cink in Manchester, OK. He was the youngest of 5 boys, Robert, Leon, Bill, and twin Marion. He attended school in Wakita, OK, where he graduated in 1954.

Marvin entered the National Guard shortly after graduating high school. He later went to work for Boeing and started a custom harvesting business with his brother, Bill. After that he went to work for Dusty Rhodes, running a dozer, and while doing dirt work for Dusty they assisted in the construction of the Conoco plant in Medford. After Conoco was built, he went to work for them full time and kept working with Dusty part time before starting Cink Dozer Service part time as well as farming. He worked for Conoco for 33 years before retiring. He was also a little league baseball coach, going undefeated.

In April of 1974, Marvin married Margie Stocksen, and to this union was 7 kids, Rick, Tim, Bret, Brenda, Chad, Misty, and Bridget, all helping run the restaurant of 44 years in Medford, where Marvin was known as the "Chicken Cooker".

Surviving are his wife, Margie of the home; sons, Rick Cink of Palacios, TX, Tim Cink of Ponca City, Bret Cink and wife Criss of LaPorte TX, Chad Cink and wife Kristi of Medford; daughters, Brenda Raupe and husband Mike of Medford, Misty Suitor and husband Dakota of Enid, Bridget Cink of Medford; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one great-grandson, Channing.

A Rosary for Marvin will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Medford, OK. Mass of Christian burial will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2025, at St Mary's Catholic Church, Medford, OK, with Father Joseph Nettem officiating. Interment will follow at Rosemound Cemetery, Medford, OK.

Memorials may be made to Medford Fire Department. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek, OK.
