Cherokee, Oklahoma - Marcia Lynn Failes was born March 31, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas, to Paul and Ruth Puttroff. She went to be with Jesus on November 28, 2025.

Marcia graduated from Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City in 1963. She then attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, graduating in 1968 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education.

While attending college, she met Kenneth Failes. They were married on May 28, 1968. They made their life together in Cherokee, OK.

Marcia is survived by her husband, Kenneth, of 57 years; her four children, Patty Kindred and husband Mike of Waynesville, Missouri, David Failes and wife Gayla of Cherokee, Oklahoma, Jennifer Byrd and husband Brent of Enid, Oklahoma, and Vicki Harmon and husband Dusty of Cherokee, Oklahoma; along with ten grandkids. She also is survived by one of her three sisters, Susan Hogan and husband Mike of Deer Park, Texas.

Funeral service for Marcia is Friday, December 5, at 1:30 p.m. at Driftwood Christian Church in Driftwood, Oklahoma, with Virgil Eubanks officiating.
