Lynda Hofen was born July 20, 1946, in Alva, to parents Walter Vallance and Ila Mae Shroff Vallance and passed from this life on January 6, 2017, in Enid.
She and Henry Hofen were married August 9, 1974, and they had lived in Cherokee since that time.
She was a hair dresser/cosmetologist who had a shop in her home. Lynda had worked at the high school for a period of time. She loved working at Cherokee Food Bank and The Thrift Store, and she was a regular contributor to St. Jude's.
The one family member who has preceded Lynda in death is her mother, Ila.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Henry Hofen of Cherokee; her son, Chris Hofen and wife, Keeley, of Choctaw; one brother, Scott Vallance and wife, Jean, of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Chandler and Brody Hofen; stepgrandchildren, Gabby and Cristian Guadaramma.
Lynda has chosen to be cremated, and there will be no service. Cremation arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc., of Cherokee. www.lanmanmemorials.com
