Louis Vern "L.V." Cook, 78, passed away Oct. 20, 2013, in Haysville, Kan. He was born Sept. 17, 1935, to Perry Jay and Opal May (Gates) Cook in Rantoul, Kan. He is survived by his brother, Rodney Cook of Caldwell, Kan., and sister, Lois Croft and her husband Dick of Clearwater, Kan. Cremation is taking place with private family inurnment to be held later.
