Kenneth Thomas Nahorski
On Monday, November 11, 2019, Ken Nahorski, loving husband of Sandy, father of Nick, and lover of his "fur" kid, an Australian Shepherd named Boaz, was called to his home in heaven at the age of three score and ten plus three, 73. Ken was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Chester and Catherine (Jost) Nahorski. He received his degree from St. Louis University in June of 1968 and entered the Air Force, spending time flying F4 Phantoms in Vietnam where he earned three Distinguished Flying Cross Medals. On June 13, 1970 he married Sandra Proskovec and raised a son, Nicholas, in Enid, Oklahoma. Those who knew Ken thought of him as a gentle giant, a man of simple tastes, an ethical and honest man, a man who thought of others before himself, a man who loved his family, and a man who loved his "fur" kids. Most of all Ken loved his Savior, Jesus Christ, and followed Him. He would encourage all to do the same. Ken was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Catherine, and a brother, Bob. He is survived by his wife, Sandy, a son, Nick, daughter in law, Natalie (Keinath), grandchildren, Abigail and Henry, a brother, Jim, and sisters Katherine and Peggy. Visitation will be held at 10AM at Lebanon Baptist Church followed by a funeral service at 11 AM on December 6, 2019. Burial will follow at two o'clock at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Prostate Cancer Research Institute, the Chattanooga Rescue Mission, Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA), Precept Ministries, Ligonier Ministries, or the charity of one's choice.
