Ripley, Oklahoma - Kenneth Elgin McFarland, 89, died March 30, 2021, at his home in Ripley, Oklahoma. His graveside service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2021, at Parkland Cemetery in Parkland, Oklahoma. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth was born on October 3, 1931 to George William McFarland and Ida McFarland in Tryon, Oklahoma.

He attended Enid schools and married Phyllis McFarland. Following their marriage he married Gloria Phipps.

Kenneth owned and operated his own business, McFarland Plumbing, Heat, and Air Conditioning, for many years.

He is preceded in death by his son Kenny McFarland, and his mother Ida McFarland.

He is survived by his five daughters Charlene (Nolan) Wright of DeWitt, AR, Dorene McFarland of Rock Island, IL, Nadine McFarland of Dewitt, AR, Christine Arnold of Enid, OK, and Polly (Mark) Goodman of Enid, OK. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
