Tulsa, Oklahoma - Janette Bolene passed away on May 27, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 91. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Kyle Anderson officiating. Burial will take place at Fairlawn Cemetery, Stillwater. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Janette was born on August 2, 1930, in Picher, Oklahoma, to Andrew J. and Ruby E. Long. She later moved to Enid, Oklahoma, and graduated from Enid High School.

Janette married Dr. John F. Bolene on June 1, 1954, in Enid. After spending time in Germany during John's Military Service, the couple eventually made Stillwater, Oklahoma, their home where Janette worked for many years as Office Manager for Bolene Radiology.

Over the years, Janette was active in several local organizations. She was particularly proud of her time as Secretary of Fairlawn Cemetery Association. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and always looked forward to lunches with her Church Friends. Janette was surrounded by loving friends in her Stillwater neighborhood and would never miss a "Hood" Party. Janette loved traveling, gardening, a good day of fishing, and everything about the OSU Cowboys.

Janette was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; and her two sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her children and grandchildren, son Jim and wife Kristy Bolene of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, daughter Johnette Goodwin of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and son, Joe and wife Sherry Bolene of Stillwater, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Caitlin and husband Grady Briggs, Emily Goodwin, Cale Bolene, Michael Anne Bolene, and Isabella Bolene.

Honorary pallbearers are Jim Bolene, Joe Bolene, Cale Bolene, Mike Daniel, Rod Robison, and Jim Struthers.
