Sandy City, Utah - July 23, 1941 - April 20, 2026

Jane Frances (Pralle) Ross, the daughter of Delbert and Bertha (Sattelmeier) Pralle, was born on July 23, 1941, in Lucien, OK. She was baptized August 17, 1941, by Pastor Edward Hauer in Christ Lutheran Church, Perry, OK.

Her early life was on a farm near Perry, OK. She moved to the Fairmont, OK, community with her parents, where she began primary school in Zion Lutheran School and graduated in 1955. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith, April 3, 1955, by Pastor Paul Bundschuh, Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont, OK. Jane attended Garber High School, Garber, OK, graduating in 1959. She then attended Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa, OK, graduating in 1960 with an associate degree.

Jane's work history began with Conoco Oil in Ponca City, OK. She married Clyde Ross on December 23, 1960, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Enid, OK. They moved to Colorado, where they were later divorced. Jane's career in Colorado was with legal firms in Pueblo and Gunnison, CO. She was a caregiver for her mother and her brother Gerald for many years. Following her retirement she remained in Gunnison, CO, with her brother Gerald until his death. Wanting to live closer to her remaining family she moved to Tooele, UT, in 2019.

Jane was an organist/pianist, playing for many organizations/individuals and served as the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Gunnison, CO, organist for many years. Her passion and hobby was painting watercolor scenes from the Gunnison community and landscape. She loved to travel, visiting family members in the USA and Europe. She traveled to Europe, Mexico, Canada, and enjoyed cruise adventures. She enjoyed cooking and playing cards with family members at gatherings/reunions in Gunnison, CO.

Jane was preceded in death by her father Delbert, mother Bertha, and brother Gerald. She is survived by her brother, Wayne (Loretta) Pralle; nephews, Erik and Brett Pralle; great-nephew, Chris Pralle; step-nieces and nephew Terry Bredthauer, Cindy Mueller, Jacque Borich, Monica Hipkins, Michelle Russell, Mike McKay; and numerous relatives and friends.

A service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Sandy City, UT, and her remains will be interred in Gunnison Cemetery, Gunnison, CO, at a later date.
