Celebration of life cookout for Jack D. "J.D." Choate, 47, Enid, will be 2 p.m., Sunday, November 22, 2015. at the family residence (4818 N. Washington). Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors. J.D. was born on Dec. 18, 1967, in Enid, the son of Bobby Dean and Angela Rose Timmermyer Choate, and passed away peacefully on Nov. 7, 2015, at his residence. He was raised and educated in the Enid and Lahoma area, graduating from Chisholm High School with the class of 1985. J.D. married Leslie Lynn Shelton in Enid on June 22, 1991. He worked for Stride Well Service, Hamm and Phillips, and later, owner-operator of Northwest Sand Blasting and Choate Paint and Body. He loved his Harley Davidson and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Leslie, of the residence; daughter, Alexandria Nicole Choate of Enid; sisters, Tamara Ann Choate-Shourek and her son Jacob of Enid and Teresa Marie Choate Black and her daughters Shana Nichole, Taylor Leigh (son, Dawson) and Jamie Lynn, all of Enid; step-brothers, Sequoia and Robert Anderson; step-sisters, Linda Graff and Quannah Harris. J.D. was preceded in passing by his parents, one nephew, Tanner James Black and step-sister, Lenna Anderson. Survivors include his wife, Leslie, of the residence; daughter, Alexandria Nicole Choate of Enid; sisters, Tamara Ann Choate-Shourek and her son Jacob of Enid and Teresa Marie Choate Black and her daughters Shana Nichole, Taylor Leigh (son, Dawson) and Jamie Lynn, all of Enid; step-brothers, Sequoia and Robert Anderson; step-sisters, Linda Graff and Quannah Harris.
