Helen Elizabeth Steele was born May 26, 1922, in Jet, the daughter of Willard and Leona (Platt) Potter.
She lived in Oklahoma City or Kingfisher most of her adult life. She was a secretary, most notably for Governor Henry Bellmon.
While working for Governor Bellmon in Washington D. C., she met and married her second husband and the love of her life, William "Jack" Steele.
She is survived by her brothers, Bill Potter and Charles Potter; two grandchildren, Lance B. Phillips and Megan Brasuell; and three great-grandchildren, Mason, Clark and Derek.
Preceding her in death were her first husband, Henry Clark; second husband, William "Jack" Steele; her father and mother; one brother, Bob Potter; and her two children, Paulette Clark and Henry "Bud" Clark.
The service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at her graveside in the Kingfisher Cemetery.
