Gary Gene Roberts
Gary was born the first child to Paul V Roberts and Vera Marie (Gigoux) Roberts on August 13, 1931. He passed away September 15, 2019.

He attended Enid Public Schools and graduated from Enid High June 2, 1950. He attended Oklahoma A&M College and was in the National Guard. He attended college until he was called to serve his country in the Korean War. He earned the Army Occupation Medal (Japan), United Nations Service Medal and the Korean Service medal w/1 bronze star during his service. He was honorably discharged in June 1952.

He married Connie (Huffman) Roberts August 21, 1960. He worked over 30+ years at George Failing Company until he retired in 1996. He was arguably the best machinist in the nation and was awarded some very special projects during his career. Gary will be remembered for his wit, humor, humility, and patience. We will always remember him when we take the backroads.

He is preceded in death by his parents along with his brother Jerry Roberts.

Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters Anita Cole and Kimberly Miller, his grandchildren Jason Chambers and Rebecca Schmidt and step-grandchild Makalynn Cole. Great-Grandchildren are Lyla Schmidt, Kelsey Schmidt, Alix Chambers and Alyssa Chambers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Interment is in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, Oklahoma.
