Enid, Oklahoma - A Celebration of Life for Evelyn Burghardt Boucher, age 94, of Enid, will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Danny Cavett officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Evelyn was born October 30, 1930, in Carlton, Oklahoma, to Paul and Hazel (Oyler) Cavett, and passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025, in Enid.

She graduated from Canton High School, in Canton, Oklahoma. She attended Phillips University in Enid, where she earned her master's degree in education. She taught high school English at Pioneer Public Schools, Enid High School, Seiling High School, and Canton High School. She retired in 1986 after 23 years of teaching.

Following retirement, she enjoyed camping with family at Canton Lake. She was known for being an excellent cook, especially for family gatherings. Evelyn enjoyed watching hummingbirds that would come to her window feeders.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Ray Burghardt and Darrell Boucher. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Smith and husband Cecil; son, Cary Burghardt and wife Teri; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial contributions in Evelyn's name may be to Cavett Kids, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
