Enid, Oklahoma - Erma B. Brown, 99, of Enid, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025. She was born on September 1, 1926, in Carmen, Oklahoma, to Leroy A. Curry and Beulah L. (McLane) Curry.

Erma spent much of her professional life as a touch-up artist, colorizer, and school poster artist for Marquis Studios in the 1950s, and as a secretary at Enid-2-Way, where she worked from 1959 to 1972. Beyond her career, she was widely known for her exceptional talent as a China Painter. Her exquisite works were admired by many and are proudly displayed in the World China Painting Museum a lasting tribute to her artistic skill and dedication.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Bobby Fern Curry, brother Max L. Curry, beloved husband Otis D. Brown, and son Jerry L. Brown.

Erma is survived by her daughter Janice F. Burns (Dennis), son Ronald P. Brown [Jane (Paris)], and daughter-in-law Cindy (Bradley) Brown. She leaves behind a loving legacy of 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom will carry forward her memory with love and pride.

A memorial service will be held at the Anderson-Burris Circle of Life Events Center at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2026. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well lived, full of creativity, love, and devotion to family. Memorial donations may be made to Garland Road Baptist Church.
