The services celebrating and honoring the life of Edica Mae Horner-Taylor, 77, of Enid, were held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in the Enid Cemetery, with Steve Williams officiating. Services were under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A Life Celebration Home.

Edica was born October 1, 1947, to Herman Horner and LaWaive Kenrick-Horner in Enid, Oklahoma, and passed from this life March 22, 2025, in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised in Enid and went to Enid High School. She worked as the children's librarian until her marriage.

She married Efton Taylor April 2, 1976. She was blessed with three daughters, Lori Taylor, Katherine Taylor and Jean Taylor.

After her children were grown Edica started a new career working at Johnson's Jewelry and Rock Shop, where she worked until her retirement.

Edica enjoyed polishing rocks and making jewelry and absolutely loved her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Lori Taylor, Katherine Ann Taylor and Jean Taylor; six grandchildren, Andi Hughes, Alli Buffum, Sadie Lopez, Jared Lopez, Madison Lopez and Lyndon Flowers; five great-grandchildren, Alexandria Mae Buffum, Giselle Gonzalez, Adelin Gonzalez, Yordi Alvarado Jr., Victoria Alvarado; and two sisters, Sheila and Gary Rummery of Enid, OK, and Lela Richey Russel Richie of Castle Rock, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and LaWaive Horner.

She leaves her family with many wonderful memories of spending time with their Granny and the many lessons that she taught them.

She will be missed, and Heaven just got a little brighter with her special light.
