Born in Enid, Oklahoma, to Hazel (Nelson) and Preston Bolenbaugh, Donna lived a life full of faith, love of family and friends and appreciation of nature. She continually expressed gratitude for her 92 years full of wonderful and varied experiences.
As a child, Donna enjoyed life on her parents' farm and attending school in Hunter, Oklahoma. She attended Oklahoma A&M, earning a degree in Food and Nutrition. There she met her future husband, Charles Tefft, and they were married on December 20, 1953. As Charles was serving in the Army, their first daughter was born in Puerto Rico. The young family then returned to Hunter, Oklahoma, to farm, and three more daughters were born. Donna enjoyed parenting and working with her daughters on their activities. She returned to college and earned her M.A in Elementary Education at Phillips University in Enid. She taught Kindergarten for a decade in Hunter and Pond Creek. Once she retired, she and Charles combined travel and ministry by volunteering for 25 UMC Volunteers in Missions trips. Together with special friends they served in Central and South America, the U.S, Africa, Russia and England. She also was active in other church activities, the United Women of Faith and the Home Extension Club. Upon the death of her husband, she moved to Stillwater to be closer to her daughters and to attend OSU sporting events. She continued volunteer work in the First United Methodist Church, Daily Bread and the OSU Botanic Gardens.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents and brother Keith Bolenbaugh and his wife, Dorothy Bolenbaugh.
