DAVID REGIS CAPPELLI Obituary
David Regis Cappelli passed away at home on February 22, 2025.
David volunteered his service to the Navy from 1964 to 1968, when he was honorably discharged. He moved his young family to Enid, in 1981, where he was a butcher for many years. David was a Mason and studied under Jim Tresnor. He also received his black belt in Tomiki Ryu Fugalkukai Aikido
In 1990 he entered the OT Autry LPN program. He became the first male graduate the following year. He worked as an LPN, specializing in wound care for the next 17 years. He was an artist and a musician. He spent his free time playing guitar, listening to records, writing songs, drawing and carving trinkets.
David was preceded in death by his son Patrick Cappelli. He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Gena Cappelli; son, Michael Cappelli; daughters, Trudi Cochrane (husband David) and Christina Agent; stepdaughter, Cara Sharp (husband Jay); stepson, Jonathan Unruh (wife Maria); and his grandchildren Bobby and David Woodcock, Tabitha (wife Rotaj) Johnson, Morgan Sage, Hannah Cappelli, Rylan Unruh, Payton Unruh, and Carrington Sharp; as well as five great-grandchildren.
His service will be held on March 30, 2025, and will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Philadelphia Seventh-Day Adventist, 802 E. Maine Ave., Enid, OK 73701.
