Jenks, Oklahoma - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Curtis Scott Conway at his home in Jenks, OK, on August 28, 2025, at the age of 87.

He was born on August 20, 1938, in Jefferson, OK, to Ralph and Ida Mae Conway. He was raised on the family farm near Jefferson, OK, and graduated Jefferson High School in 1956.

He attended college for two years, worked at Boeing in Wichita, KS, and served two years active duty in the Army. He continued his working career in Enid, OK, and Grove, OK, and then joined Conoco Pipeline company in Medford, OK. His job took him to Ponca City and then Jenks, OK, where he retired from Conoco in 2001.

Curtis was married to his first wife, Shirley Sawyer, in 1964. She preceded him in death in 1985. In 1986 he married Patty Tjarks who was by his side until his passing.

He enjoyed morning coffee with his brother and other friends at the local coffee shop. He liked the outdoors, and his favorite activity was fishing, especially traveling to Canada to fish. He also enjoyed flying, hunting, and camping and time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Shirley, his stepson Darrell Sawyer, and sisters Donna Hammer and Bonnie Woollard. He is survived by his loving wife Patty of the home, brother David (Jacque) Conway, of Jenks, OK; stepson Stacey (Cindy) Tjarks, of College Station, TX; stepdaughters, Tammy Leeper, of Colorado, Barbara Sawyer, of Guthrie, OK; and stepgrandchildren Justen (Megan) Tjarks, of Richland, WA, Ashley (Jacob) Oldham, of College Station, TX, Brandon Keller, of Ponca City, OK, and Rob Keller, of Guthrie, OK, along with their families. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Curtis will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2025, at Regency Park Church, 8707 East 51st Street, Tulsa, OK. Both Curtis and Patty participated in a Bible class, and memorial contributions may be made in Curtis's name to Dorothy Enns Bible Class, 4904 East Commercial St., Broken Arrow, OK 74014.
