Cheryl Ann "Shortie" Wehrenberg Glazier

Cheryl Ann (Wehrenberg) Glazier, 71, Loyal, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at home in Loyal.
The funeral service was Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at the Lomega High School Gymnasium. Internment was at the Forest Home Cemetery, north of Loyal.
She was born August 11, 1945, in Okeene, to Lesly and Lena (Pope) Wehrenberg. She grew up in the Loyal community with the nickname "Shortie".
At an early age she completed confirmation classes at her local church and became a member of the Loyal Evangelical Church in Loyal on May 1958.
She began teaching the "beginner/primary" Sunday School class at age 16, and throughout her life served the church in various capacities.
She attended Loyal High School and graduated with honors in a class of six members, in 1963.
After high school, she completed an Associate Degree in Business at Oklahoma Central University in Edmond.
On May 8, 1965, she and Tom Glazier (also of Loyal) were married in the Loyal Evangelical Church in Loyal.
She loved being a homemaker, and enjoyed quilting, cooking, flower gardening, and sharing farm life and outdoor activities with her husband and family. Most of all she loved being Grandma Shortie.
She was extremely interested and involved in her sons' school activities that included basketball, baseball, showing livestock and various other FFA activities. She was always present and enjoyed traveling with them and their friends on these activities.
She served on the FFA Mothers Club for numerous years, helping as a strong and supporting influence for the Lomega FFA Chapter.
She was also a true fan and strong supporter of her grandchildren. She greatly enjoyed traveling to basketball games, baseball games, wrestling events; livestock shows, judging contests and speech contests with her grandchildren. She was definitely their biggest supporter and fan.
She is survived by her husband, Tom, of the home in Loyal; her three sons, Dale and his wife, Lori, and their daughters, Whitney and Rylee, of Omega; Stacy and his children, Cody, Cali, Trey, and Rhett, of Loyal; Kyle and his wife, Sheri, and their son, Kol, and soon-to-be born daughter, of Loyal; her sister, Karen Littlefield, of Edmond; sister-in-law, Janet Wehrenberg, of Loyal; brother, Eddie Wehrenberg and his wife, Susie, of Greeley, Colo.; her sister-in-law, Barbara Glazier, of Loyal; brother-in-law, Leslie Glazier and his wife, Ona Gay Glazier, of Loyal.
She was very fortunate to have numerous nieces, nephews and friends which she loved and admired greatly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lesly and Lena (Pope) Wehrenberg, of Loyal; her in-laws, Marvin and Eileen (Garms) Glazier, of Loyal; her brother, Phil Wehrenberg, of Loyal; brother-in-law, Jeff Littlefied, of Edmond; brother-in-law, Gary Glazier, of Loyal; and an infant sister.
Memorials may be made to Forest Home Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, or the Loyal Evangelical Church, or to the organization of your choice.
