Brad Alan Beck Obituary
Loveland, CO - Brad Alan Beck, age 71, passed away at 12:29 a.m. on June 21, 2026, at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado.
Brad was born August 20, 1954, in Parsons, Kansas, to Maurice and Joan Beck, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Cindra, and his brother, Roger Beck.
It wasn't long after Brad was born, that the family moved to Enid, Oklahoma. It was at their home at 1617 E. Oak, where Brad had wonderful memories of playing out in the street until the "street lights came on". His childhood was full of days like these, fabulous meals (his mom was the greatest cook ever) to Sundays at church and growing up in rural Oklahoma.
Brad attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University for a while before beginning his career in carpentry and opening up his own cabinet shop. While he took pride in his craftsmanship, he soon discovered his true calling in the grain industry, a field that reflected his family farming heritage.
He dedicated forty (40) years of service to Johnston's Grain Elevator, where he earned the respect and friendship of not only coworkers but farmers, alike. He was always first to arrive at the elevator, making coffee and preparing paper work for the day. He was a diligent, hard worker, who rarely called in sick or took all of his vacation time. He loved driving throughout the areas he was assigned to looking at the crops and speaking to the farmers.
Outside of work, Brad was an avid sportsman and athlete. He enjoyed playing league baseball for many years and treasured the camaraderie and competition the game provided. His greatest passions, however, were hunting and fishing, pursuits that allowed him to spend time outdoors doing what he loved most. His favorite memories were always at "Aunt Mertz place", where he and his best buds, Doug and Denny, would spend hunting season at the cabin. Oh, the stories!!! I truly believe that a part of his heart will always be there.
An early retirement brought on by a back injury presented challenges, but Brad eventually embraced this chapter of his life. One of his greatest joys came when he and Cindra relocated to Colorado, where they spent his final years together enjoying the beauty of the mountains and the lifestyle they had long dreamed of sharing.
Brad will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of the outdoors and his devotion to family. He leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
Services will be held at a later date.
