Bonnie was born November 9, 1942, in Capron, Oklahoma, to Joseph Glen and Ruby Lee (Stanley) Rader, and passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025, in Enid.
Bonnie married Keith Springer, and together they welcomed two sons, Scotty and Keith Leon. She later married Jim Martin, who brought a daughter, Christy, into her life, and together they completed their family with the birth of Christopher. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, each of whom she loved with her whole heart.
For many years, Bonnie worked as a school lunch lady at Emerson Junior High, where she was known for her kind smile, her easy humor, and the way she looked after "her kids." She was warm, funny, stubborn in all the ways that mattered, and tender in all the ways that counted.
A deeply creative person, Bonnie found joy in making things with her hands. She could often be found crocheting, sewing, painting, or trying out a new craft just for the fun of it. She wasn't fancy — except when it came to her jewelry — but she loved simple pleasures: working in her garden, keeping her hands busy with yarn or fabric, and being surrounded by the people she loved. Her happiest days were spent with her grandkids nearby, filling her home with noise, stories, and life. She will be remembered for her steady presence, her warmth, and the quiet, unwavering way she cared for others.
Bonnie will be deeply missed by all who know and love her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim "Festus" Martin, (aka Papa Firefighter); twin brother, Buster Rader; sister, Virginia; and brothers Bobby and Mickey. She is survived by four children, sons Scotty Springer and wife Katrina, of Mannford, OK, Keith "Leon" Springer and wife Holly, of San Antonio, TX, Chris Martin and wife Shannon, of Enid, OK, and daughter Christy Moyer of Enid.
Memorial contributions in Bonnie's name may be made to Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
