Betty was raised on the family farm east of Amorita, and attended the Amorita School District.

Betty was a member of Driftwood Christian Church, the Padded Pew Group, and the Ladies' Birthday Breakfast Club.

Betty deeply loved her family and friends. She was commonly referred to by many who knew her as, "Grandma Betty."

Betty is survived by her three children, Jo Ellen Tucker and husband, David, of Bartlesville; Donna Ryel and husband Ron, of Tulsa; and Jan Jewell and wife, Bobbie, of Byron; grandchildren, Tandi Hoelker and husband, Jim; Kelli Cannon and husband, Charles; Anissa McGuire and husband, Bret; Janna Horton; Justin Jewell and wife, Danielle; Chace Jewell and wife, Melissa; 14 great-grandkids, Caroline, Jackson, Sam, Bonnie, Sarah, Molly, Anna, Jake, Hank, Nick, Kutter, Gatlin, Briggs, and Emerson; and one great-great-grandson, Ben.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Junior; her parents, Merle and Hazel Winans; and an infant baby brother.

The Celebration Service for Betty is 1 p.m. today, Nov. 19, 2016, at Driftwood Christian Church, with Max Boothby officiating. Burial follows at Byron-Amorita Cemetery, with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Cherokee.
