Mr. Bert Willis Smith (Mr. Wonderful) Obituary

Enid, Oklahoma - April 11, 1943 - October 23, 2025

Bert W. Smith and the Smith family have resided and done business in Enid, Oklahoma, since 1912, beginning with Bert Smith Engine Repair and ending with Smith Culvert.

Bert was a man of many interests and dark humor. His kindness when demonstrated was always to the people who helped him the most. He attended Oklahoma University after graduating Enid High and returned home to run the family business in Enid.

Here he met the love of his life, Danella "Dinky", whom he married. They raised two children and had many grand adventures as a family. They were married for 56 years.

Bert succumbed to Lewy Body Dementia in his final years, losing the ability to walk or reason. He remained a charmer to anyone and everyone who met him. He preferred to be called Mr. Wonderful by his nurses/hospice/caretakers, whom he truly cared about.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Jane Smith, his brother Frank Suttle Smith, his son Gannon Smith, his wife Danella "Dinky" Robinson Smith. He is survived by Jessica Wright and son-in-law John Wright of Delaware. There is no service per request. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of Stittsworth Funeral Service.
