Coyle, Oklahoma - January 14, 1944 - March 3, 2024

Alfred Eugene Thompson was born January 14, 1944, to Monroe and Ruth (Lawrence) Thompson. He passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024. The family will host a "come-and-go" visitation from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Alfred attended and graduated from Helena Public Schools, where he was active in football and agriculture. Alfred worked in various agriculture-related jobs then began his career as a firefighter at Vance AFB. After retirement, he moved to Stillwater to be closer to family.

Alfred is survived by his children, Kelly and Barry and wife Lisa, all of Stillwater, and Chris and partner April of Oklahoma City. "Papa" is also survived by his grandchildren Reece, Chance, Heston, Holden, Brennan, and Anna Thompson, all of Stillwater, and Henley Thompson of Oklahoma City.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents and wife Cindy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Project.
