A Celebration of Life for Wanda M. Copeland, 87, Enid, is 2 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Dave Jones officiating.
Interment follows at 2 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017, at the Erick City Cemetery, Erick.
The family receives friends 6-7 p.m. today, May 10, 2017, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Wanda was born Aug. 7, 1929, in Erick, the daughter of George and Thelma Balkcom Ellis, and passed away May 5, 2017.
Wanda was a graduate of Erick High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to Tommy J. Copeland June 21, 1949, in Cherokee, Okla.
Following high school graduation, she was employed by Mid-Continent Life Insurance Company as an addressograph operator. In 1963, she was employed by Atwoods for 30 years, retiring in 1993.
She was a member of the Women of the Moose. She enjoyed caring for her flowers and feeding the birds and squirrels. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, infectious laugh, and love and devotion for her family and friends. She lived her life to the fullest.
Survivors include a daughter, Gail Dickerson and her husband Doug, two grandchildren, Dan (Jaime) Butler and Gabe (Lyndsay) Watts, all of Enid, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and a brother, AJ (Sara) Ellis of Enid; six nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, one great-granddaughter, Stephanie Gail, and two nieces.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Enid SPCA or the Woodring Wall of Honor and Veterans Park, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
