A memorial service for Sherrey Lynne Crabtree will be held at 4 pm Saturday, September 30, 2017 in Redeemer Lutheran Church, 215 S. Cleveland, Enid, OK with Pastor Timothy Dorsch officiating.
Sherrey Lynne Crabtree, 44, walked triumphantly into heaven, hand in hand with her guardian angels in Dallas, Texas on September 20, 2017 after a courageous battle with colon cancer. At no time was cancer declared a winner.
Sherrey was born to James and Sandra Crabtree on July 20, 1973 in Enid, Oklahoma, the youngest of 5 girls. She graduated from Enid High School in 1991. Sherrey was active in swimming, diving and gymnastics. She attended The University of Central Oklahoma, majoring in Broadcasting with a minor in Journalism. She graduated in 1995 with a degree in Broadcast Marketing. Sherrey entered into her career field of marketing and sales, where she began networking a vast amount of friends.
Because of Sherrey's connections, she was able to play a small part as a cheerleader in "Any Given Sunday" and a flight stewardess in an episode of "Walker, Texas Ranger". Even when Sherrey was with her sister Shawnna on "Let's Make A Deal", the family cheered her on as if she was a major star.
Indeed, Sherrey was a bright, shining star...a free spirit with an endless supply of energy, an electric smile that radiated warmth, compassion and love for family, friends and strangers alike. Sherrey was a force, powered by FOMO-Fear Of Missing Out. She traveled the length and breadth of the United States and abroad, brightening parties, brunches, lunches, dinners, events, galas or just simple poolside gatherings with a few of her closest friends, her faithful companion Martini by her side.
While Sherrey is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in our memories, stories, common connections and a network mesh that encompasses us all in one big outpouring of the essence of Sherrey. We will never forget our Sherrey, our bright star in heaven.
She is survived by her parents, James and Sandra Crabtree of Enid, OK, 4 sisters: Shelley (Wallace) Culver of Benton, KS; Sheilla (Joel) Anderson of Minot, ND; Shawnna (Mike) Partain of Broken Arrow, KS; and Sharlla (Darryl) Longpine of Wichita, KS.
Sherrey is also survived by nieces and nephews: Lynzee (Karrisa) Crabtree of Enid, OK; Enid Crabtree of Benton, KS; Rich (Jaymie) Anderson of Omaha, NB; Nichole Ricardo of Jacksonville, FL; T J Longpine of Wichita, KS; Dakota Longpine of Wichita, KS and Taylor Paine of Broken Arrow, OK.
Sherrey also leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and great-nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends. Sherrey will be missed most of all by her beloved dog, Martini.
In lieu of flowers, Sherrey and the family request that gift cards may be sent to James and Sandra Crabtree at 1924 W. Maple, Enid, OK 73703-4226. An online meal may also be ordered for them. Sherrey felt it would be her way of helping out her parents where she could no longer help.
