Mr. Hercules's Story

Mr. Hercules Finley Sr. was born on June 18, 1924 in Tatums Oklahoma to Mamom and Susie Finley.
He departed this life on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma.
After graduating from Tatums High School, Mr. Finley enlisted in the United States Navy in January 1944. He performed his basic training at the United States National Training Station at Bainbridge, MD. During WWII, he served on the destroyer USS Sterett stationed in the Pacific Islands. After his completion of service, Mr. Finley received an Honorable Discharge.
Mr. Finley was employed at the Enid State School until his retirement in 1969. He was well respected in the community and often contributed his time assisting many friends by offering transportation for daily errands. He was an avid fisherman and a very skilled auto mechanic.
