She was a member of the Viking Flower Club of Minnesota. She loved to decorate her home, inside and out. She had a flower garden decorated with bunnies and bird feeders which drew the birds and squirrels that she enjoyed watching. Leona enjoyed cooking for her family, her fried chicken and red cakes were a couple of her specialties. No one's birthday went unnoticed without a red cake from Leona. She loved decorating her house for all of the holidays, but Christmas was her favorite. Christmas decorations were displayed somewhere in her home, year round.
