Jack Edward's Story
The graveside service for Jack Edward Beam Jr. "Pop", 96, Enid, is at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory, Enid.
Jack was born Nov. 4, 1920, in Chandler, to Jack Edward and Gladys (Brown) Beam, and passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017, in Enid.
Jack served in the United States Air Force for over 26 years, serving during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was a chief warrant officer at retirement.
On Oct. 11, 1942, he married Bobbie Lou Jones in Las Vegas. Jack was a life member of AFA and MOAA.
Jack is survived by his son, Jack Beam III and wife Elizabeth of Enid; one grandson, Tim Beam and wife Debera; two great-granddaughters, Taylor Beam, and Natalie Barber and husband Blake; and three great-great-grandchildren, Emily Beam, Connor Barber and Benjamin Barber. Pop most enjoyed trout fishing with all the kids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Bobbie.
