I met Vance last year when I was employed at the prison here in Alva. He was one of my kitchen workers. I got to know him over the span of a few months and learned how ornery he was. We even had the same birthday (different year). I'll never forget the sheepish grin on his face every morning when he came to work. I was shocked to hear of Vance's passing and I am so, so sorry to all his family and friends. He was a special kid. RIP Vance.

I'm so sorry he had to pass so soon. But it was good knowing you when you lived. I'll never get to text you again and have our conversations like we used to or see you at random places and say what up. Every one will miss you. You'd be happy Every one was getting together and rejoicing you and being brave like it's making Every one be brave..just for you.
