Treva Nelsine Dick, born September 26, 1937, peacefully passed away April 17, 2019. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Memorial Park Cemetery at 10:30. Rev. Pat Sutherlin officiating. Everyone is welcome to go to the Christian Church of the Covenant following the service for snacks and fellowship.
Treva was born in Salina, OK, to Henry Nelson Boatright and Vernice Clona (Smith) Boatright. The family later moved to a farm in Drummond, OK, where she attended school and graduated in 1955. She was a member of the girls basketball team. She loved the game and was an excellent player.
She worked at Consumers Co-op Association, which became Farmland Industries. She later transferred to Imo Grain Elevator as a bookkeeper, where she worked for more than 26 years and retired in 1991.
Farmland is where she met Melvin H. Dick and married on April 22, 1961. They had one child, Shelly Kay. She and Melvin lived in Enid until 2015 when they moved to Texas to be with their daughter.
They were fortunate to be able to travel and enjoyed square dancing for 25 years where they met and made many long lasting friendships.
They are members of the Christian Church of the Covenant. She was chairman of several committees and handled various other duties at the church for many years.
Treva was always the bright light in the room. Anyone that met her loved her. She was an extremely giving person, and you could never stay one up on her. She loved watching all sports and knew more about each one than any man ever could. Family was the most important thing to her and she always made sure everyone was taken care of all the time. She was very close with her daughter and sister. She had a special relationship with her handicapped brother, Dale, and niece Amanda Boatright Holt.
There are no words to express the feelings of joy that she brought to so many lives and the loss so many will feel that she has moved on. She will be dearly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Chet Boatright and her sister Bobbie Lemmons.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin, her daughter Shelly Keeling & husband Gary, her grandson Brandon Brunke, her grandson Kyle Keeling and wife Myla, her brother Dale Boatright, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be made to the Christian Church of the Covenant 1205 S. Cleveland St., Enid, OK 73703.
A graveside service will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on May 2, 2019, at Memorial Park Cemetery , 6405 Memorial Drive, Enid, OK 73701.

I cannot say enough of how much of a wonderful woman Treva was! No matter what the circumstances were she was always the person with a smile on her face and she really cared about what you had to say. As she will be dearly missed I am sure she is in a far greater place. My heart felt sympathy goes out to Melvin and all your family.

I was blessed in this life to have Treva as my aunt. She was the type of aunt everyone wishes they had...fun, caring, loving. She will be missed greatly but we know she is with those who went before her and rejoicing with the Lord.

Treva was a wonderful woman and a cousin of mine by marriage. She made cookies for Christmas and gave them to me in a Christmas themed container quite a few years ago. I still use the container and have always thought of her when I see it. My thoughts are with Melvin and the family.

My cousin, Treva, will be missed by so many. My husband and I visited her and Melvin in Midlothian not too long ago and had a wonderful visit sharing family memories. She gave me a beautiful picture of my grandparents in a wooden oval frame. I will treasure it forever and will think of her whenever I look at it hanging on the wall. Sweetness and kindness describe her perfectly. My thoughts and prayers to her husband and daughter.

I was so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful family. Growing up, some of my funnest memories were driving out to Enid to have a Christmas at Treva and Melvin’s house with my mom and Dad, Jamie and Greg Lemmons and my brothers and sisters.
We always had so much fun over there with everyone and I looked forward to it every year. Treva will be dearly missed. She was such a wonderful lady!

Love you Treva!!
