Sherry A.'s Story
Sherry A. (Davis/Coulter) Moser, 81, of Abilene, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Village Manor Nursing Home.
She was born April 22, 1936, in Cherokee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Bennie and Marjorie (Kline) Davis, and she grew up in Helena, Oklahoma.
She was united in marriage to Loyd Coulter in 1953 in Alva, Oklahoma, and to this marriage three children were born: Neal, Tony and Jeanna. Loyd preceded her in death in 1966.
She later married Bill Moser, whom she divorced, and from this marriage two daughters were born: Jill and Jody.
Sherry is survived by her children: Neal Coulter of Yates Center; Tony Coulter (Rhonda) of Cheney, Washington; Jeanna Pohlman (Kevin) of Solomon, Kansas; Jill Duhr (Craig) of Kansas City, Kansas; and Jody Moser of Abilene, Kansas. She is also survived by a sister Karen Coulter (Leon) of Helena, Oklahoma, and brothers Bill Davis (JoAnn) of Alamogordo, New Mexico, and Jim Davis (Sandy) of Waco, Texas; ten grandchildren: Lyle Coulter; Jessica and Josh Shirack; Austin and Dalton Garver; Jordan Swarts; Dustin, Derrek and Colton Duhr and Kirsten Gorges; as well as 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Loyd Coulter, brother Jerry Davis of Arlington, Texas, and longtime companion Gary Seaman.
She chose cremation and no memorial service. A visitation for Sherry was held December 7 at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home in Abilene. The family suggests memorials be given to the Hospice of Dickinson County. Memorials may be dropped off or mailed to Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW Third St., Abilene, Kansas 67410.
