Shelia Fay (Richter) Warner, 81, of Billings, died Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Greenbrier Nursing Home in Enid.
Warner was born in Fairview on March 6, 1936, to Elmer and Mary "Brandon" Richter. Shelia was the sixth child out of 10 siblings.
There were five sisters: Doreen "Fitzhugh" Fox, Nina Bell "Fitzhugh" Proffit, Rosa "Fitzhugh" Nickel, LaVera Richter and Marilyn Jean Richter; and four brothers: Walter, Jerry, Shirley Ray Richter and Thomas Fitzhugh.
Shelia grew up in Fairview where she met her soul mate and love of her life, and on July 12, 1957, in Midwest City, Okla., she married, George C. Warner Sr.
In their 59 years of marriage, they had two sons, George Warner Jr. and wife Theresa, Kevin Warner and wife Jennifer, and one daughter Phebe Warner. Shelia was proud of her eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Shelia and George moved to Billings with their three children in 1968, where they made their home and spent their life on the southwest side of town. She worked for Billings Public Schools as a janitor and cook, while keeping up her home and family.
Survivors include her sons, George Jr., and spouse, Theresa, of Enid, and David and spouse, Jennifer, of Tulsa; daughter, Phebe Warner of Enid; sisters, LaVera Richter, Marilyn Jean Richter and Rosa Nickel; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Shelia was preceded in death by her husband George Warner Sr.; two babies; her parents Elmer and Mary "Brandon" Richter; her mother- and father-in-law James Albert and Mary "Phelps" Warner; four brothers Walter, Jerry, Shirley Ray Richter and Thomas Fitzhugh; and two sisters Doreen "Fitzhugh" and Nina Bell "Fitzhugh" Proffit; and four great-grandchildren.
Services for Ms. Shelia Warner are at 10 a.m. today, May 3, 2017, in the Antelope Valley Church, south of Billings. She will be laid to rest at Billings Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. today, May 2, 2017, at Dugger Funeral Home in Billings.
