Shelia Fay's Story
Shelia Fay ''Richter'' Warner, 81, Billings, died, Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Greenbrier Nursing Home, Enid.
Ms. Warner was born in Fairview March 6, 1936, to Elmer and Mary ''Brandon'' Richter. Shelia was the sixth child out of 10 siblings.
There were five sisters, Doreen (Fitzhugh) Fox, Nina Bell (Fitzhugh) Proffit, Rosa (Fitzhugh) Nickel, LaVera Richter and Marilyn Jean Richter; and four brothers, Walter, Jerry, Ray Richter and Thomas Fitzhugh. ??
Shelia grew up in Fairview, where she met her soul mate and love of her life. She married George C. Warner Sr. on July 12, 1957, in Midwest City,
In 1968, Shelia and George moved to Billings, where they lived on the southwest side of town and raised their three children, George Jr., Kevin and Phebe. They spent the rest of their lives together there.
With their three children, they gained eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Throughout her life, she did many odd jobs and worked at the Billings Public Schools as a janitor and cook, along with keeping her home and family up. ??
Survivors include her children, George Jr. and wife, Theresa; Phebe; Kevin and his wife, Jennifer; sisters, Marilyn Jean Richter, Rosa Nickel and LaVera Richter; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.??
Shelia was preceded in death by her husband, George Warner Sr.; her parents, Elmer and Mary (Brandon) Richter; four brothers, Walter, Jerry, Shirley and Thomas Fitzhugh; and two sisters, Doreen (Fitzhugh), and Nina Bell (Fitzhugh) Proffit. ??
She loved her family, pets and the outdoors, and will be dearly missed. ??
Service for Mrs. Shelia Warner is 10 a.m. today, May 3, 2017, in the Antelope Valley Church, south of Billings.
She will be laid to rest at the Billings Union Cemetery. Arrangements by Dugger Funeral Home, Billings.
