Funeral services is 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2018, in the First Christian Church, 1316 9th Street, Woodward, with the Reverend Ronnie Hopkins officiating.
Interment follows in Elmwood Cemetery, with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ricky Jack Voelzke was born on September 15, 1947, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, the son of Jack Newton and Vivian Deloris (Watson) Voelzke. Rick grew up in Ponca City and Enid, graduating from Enid High School in 1965.
He then attended Okmulgee Tech and Oklahoma State University. Rick served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged in 1971.
He was united in marriage to Melinda Sue Ball on December 7, 1979, at the home of Gary and Jane Stanley. They made their home in Woodward.
Rick owned and operated Hawkeye Inspection Services, was a property manager for several hotel brands, and owned Blackhawk Oilfield Equipment.
Rick had various hobbies. He enjoyed boating, fishing, going to casinos. He was fond of his pets and their sightseeing trips.
He and Susie enjoyed their life together, and made many memories together. Rick was a wonderful husband, a great dad and grandfather. He will be missed.
Rick is survived by his wife, Susie of the home; daughters: Amy Hager and husband John, Kim Fuksa and husband Keith of Enid, Jennifer Gideon, and Gina Swanson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren: Gray Gideon and wife Kelsey, Aly Gideon, Michael Swanson, Ben Swanson, Rikki Wittmer, Jonathan Stone, Braidon Fuksa and wife Caitlin, Maddie Fuksa, Blake Fuksa, Kadee Fuksa, and Koty Hager; brother, Danny Voelzke of Enid; mother-in-law, Donna Ball of Woodward; brother-in-law, Danny Streck; great-grandchildren, Robbie, Brenton, Colton, Oliver, McKenna, Bryce, and Luke; brother-in-law; Gary Ball and wife Cindy of Abilene, Kansas; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, sister, Sharon Streck and father-in-law, Billie Bob Ball.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the WOOF PET RESCUE, with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
