Richard Lee (Rick)'s Story
Rick Combs passed away at his home north of Enid, Oklahoma, on Thursday, February 22, 2018.
Rick was born on January 14, 1942, in Checotah, Oklahoma. He met his wife, Darlene in Little Rock, Arkansas, while working for IBM and moved to Enid, Oklahoma, in 1972 to begin a new business.
Rick was the owner of PDQ Printing since 1972. He and his wife, Darlene, ran the business together until Rick's health became bad.
He retired and continued to farm.
He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren and Jesus.
Some of his other loves were his farm, his special breed of cows -- Salers, OU football, being with friends and family, and the people of Enid, Oklahoma. More than anything he loved to hear stories about his grandchildren and their accomplishments.
Rick is survived by his wife, Darlene; son, Wes Combs and wife Michelle of Lufkin, Texas; daughter, Kristie Manning and husband Bruce of Owasso, Oklahoma, and grandchildren, Hunter, Haley and Macade.
His service will be conducted at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
