The funeral service for Pauline C. Laubhan, 96 year-old Enid resident, is 1 p.m Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, Enid. Reverend Randy Mitchell will officiate.
Burial follows in Ames Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Pauline was born October 30, 1921, in Ames to Conrad and Matilda (Jantzen) Laubhan, and departed this life December 9, 2017.
She attended Ames School and graduated with the Class of 1939.
She was a member of Ames Methodist Church, having joined at the age of twelve. She played piano for the Church for 52 years and taught the "Sunshine Class" of six year-olds. She loved them and her Church dearly, where she was a faithful member.
Pauline was currently a member of First United Methodist Church of Enid and attended faithfully until her health wouldn't permit.
Pauline worked in the Holston and Sturgeon Grocery Store until it closed. She then moved to Enid to work for Quaker State Oil Company, CBI Collection Agency and Enid Memorial Hospital.
She was an avid sports fan, primarily rooting for the University of Oklahoma, Dallas Cowboys and the Thunder. Whenever a ball bounced, Pauline was there. She loved them all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Matilda (Jantzen) Laubhan and five brothers, Gus, Dave, Carl, Ernie, and Victor Laubhan.
Pauline leaves to mourn her passing her precious daughter, Nita Atnip, of the home; brother, Raymond Laubhan and wife, Velma Lee of Norman, OK; nieces, Carolyn Fulton; Christy Sheffield; Jacquie Benthin; Sharon VanArsdale and Vickie Tuohy; nephews, Richard, Jimmy, and Roger Laubhan, as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given, through Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home, to First United Methodist Church Bell Choir or Ames Cemetery.
