The memorial service to celebrate the life of Mary Rose Peterman, 92, Enid, is 4 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dave Jones officiating.
Mary was born Aug. 8, 1924, in Wichita, Kan., and passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017, in Enid.
She grew up in an orphanage in Tecumseh, and later moved to Enid at the age of 16.
Mary married Leo Peterman on Aug. 6, 1943, in Enid, where they made their home. She held various jobs during her lifetime, with the last being a nurse's aide and in home health care.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Gene Paul and Jimmy; a granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.
Mary is survived by two sons and their wives, Ron and Debbie Peterman of Waukomis, and Roger and Erlene Peterman of Enid; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
