Marian Louise Yonkin, 81, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017, at Pratt Regional Medical Center in Pratt, Kansas.
She was born July 23, 1936, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to Collins and Laura (Neumyer) Houseknecht.
On May 21, 1955, she married Leon Edward Yonkin in Dushore, Pennsylvania. He preceded her in death on March 20, 2009.
Marian moved to Medicine Lodge, Kansas, from Enid, Oklahoma.
Over the years, she enjoyed reading, sewing, ceramics, needlepoint and bowling.
She is survived by her three daughters, Jacque Traffas and husband, Rory, of Medicine Lodge, Kansas; Julie Bishop of Rose Hill, Kansas; and Janette McMahon and husband, Tim, of Brandon, Florida; two sons, Jim Yonkin and wife, Sue, of Katy, Texas; and John Yonkin and wife, Susan, of Denton, Texas; a brother, Lewis Houseknecht and wife, Barb, of Princeton, Indiana; a sister, Wilma Lively of Fort Worth, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon, and her parents. Cremation has taken place.
Private Family Services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Dushore, Pennsylvania.
