The graveside service for Leila Frances Cumpston, 84 year-old Enid resident will be 10 a.m. today, April 28, 2017, in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pastor Diana Pruitt will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Leila was born August 25, 1932, in Enid to Wallace E. and Pearl E. (Cropper ) Walker and died Tuesday, April 25, 2017, in St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1950. She attended Enid Business College after high school.
On August 27, 1950, she married H. Max Cumpston in Enid, where the couple made their home. They later divorced.
She was a life-long member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing and all kinds of arts and crafts, but being a mother was her greatest joy.
She is survived by her children, Chuck Cumpston and wife Gloria of Enid, Amy Cumpston, also of Enid, and Wally and Vicki Cumpston of Wichita, Kan.
Three grandchildren, Kaleigh and Maddi of Wichita, Kan., and Eddie of Enid. One brother Joe W. Walker and wife Shirley of Austin, Texas, as well as several other loving family members
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son Max.
Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to the New Hope Building Debt Retirement fund.
