John Raymond Hotson, age 79, died at Corpus Christi Medical Center in Corpus Christi, TX, on Wednesday, May 10, 2017.
He was born Sept. 13, 1937, in Hayward, Oklahoma. He was a paint superintendent for HEB for 17 years, until retiring in 1991. He was a member of the United States Air Force and a volunteer for Catholic Committee on Scouting. He enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family.
He was a faithful supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Eileen Hotson of Rockport, TX; his brother, Ernie Hotson of Covington, OK; son Scott Brian Hotson, of Sulphur, OK; son Yancy Joe Garnand (Jamelle) of Rockport, TX; son Ryan James Keller (Krystle) of Cuero, TX; and nine grandchildren: Cody Hotson, James Hotson, Russell Hotson, Valerie Hotson, Matthew Odom, Megan Odom, Jacob Garnand, Aiden and Jett Keller; and one great-grandchild, Vincent Odom.
John was preceded in death by his sister, Judith Hotson, of Covington, OK, and his parents, William Richard and Caroline Elizabeth Hotson.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Lifeway Baptist Church, 403 E. Sarah St., Cuero, TX. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service and at a reception at Lifeway Baptist Church immediately following the service.
