Helen Susan O'Dea Davault

Helen Susan O'Dea Davault Helen Susan O'Dea Davault, 61, formerly of Enid, Oklahoma, died peacefully January 24, 2019, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the beloved wife of Charles Williams. She was predeceased by her father Delbert O'Dea and in 2018 by her son Neal Phillips.

Funeral will be 10:30 February 9 at Victory Bible Church with Reverend Dennis Elder officiating. A burial at Enid Cemetery chapel will follow, with a repast at the church afterward. Services under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Known to co-workers and friends as Susan, she was born in Enid, OK, to Delbert and Nora Hyle O'Dea October 2, 1957. Helen attended and in 1974 graduated from Enid High School where she was a chorus member. She attended Calvary Assembly of God church in Enid and won the Oklahoma talent contest as a soloist. Leona Mitchell, with Metropolitan Opera, invited Helen to study opera in New York. An invitation she declined.

She attended Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa and earned a Human Resources Management Certification in 2012 from Bryant University in Rhode Island. She worked at Bass Baptist Hospital in Enid and Human Resources and Administrative Support for organizations including the State of Missouri and APC by Schneider Electric and the Roger Williams Medical Center in Rhode Island.

Helen enjoyed playing the piano, traveling and sightseeing.

Surviving are her mother, Nora Hyle O'Dea; son, Patrick Davault and wife Amber of St. James, MO, and their sons, Quentin and Gavin; brothers Troy O'Dea of Enid and David O'Dea of Seagoville, TX, and their daughters Mandi, Christina, and Patty of Enid; grandson, Jordan Phillips of Enid; stepdaughter, Janine Williams and daughter Makai Williams of Montclair, NJ; sister-in-law Karyn Williams and daughter Melinda Williams of New Orleans; and aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
