The funeral service celebrating the life of Hazel Marie Gammon, 90, of Enid, is 2 p.m. Thursday August 10, 2017, in Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Don Johnson officiating.
Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
She was born March 15, 1927, in Spiro, Oklahoma, to Amos and Victoria Cusick Schrimsher, and passed from this life August 6, 2017, in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was raised and educated in Spiro, Oklahoma, and moved to Fort Smith, Ark., where she met and married Floyd Charles Gammon on August 4, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2006.
They lived in various communities across the United States due to his service in the military. The couple finally moved to Enid in 1953.
She is survived by daughter, Connie (Rick) Campbell, of Enid; sons, Phil (Christy) Gammon of Enid, Chuck (Nita) Gammon of Mars Hill, North Carolina; Gerald (Joanne) Gammon of Waldorf, Maryland; and Doug Gammon (Marilyn Bell) of Enid; ten grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, sisters Louise Guvare of Tulsa and Betty Gillenwater of Tempe, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Floyd, her grandson Brandon, six brothers, and four sisters.
Memorials may be made, in honor of her husband, to the Alzheimer's Association, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
