Floyd Ray Pollet

Our beloved Floyd Ray Pollet went to be with Jesus on June 28, 2019.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Oakwood Christian Church on Friday, July 12, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Thursday, July 11, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Floyd was born on August 22, 1953, in Clinton, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife Karen Pollet; sister, Vicki Adams; children, Kelly Pollet, Lindsey Crow and husband Nate, Steven Pollet and wife Tiffiany, Angie Qamoos and husband Chris, Aubery Anderson and wife Krissy, Rusty Anderson; 8 grandchildren, Jackson Caddell, Presley Qamoos, Braxton Pollet, Kayde Pollet, Kinsley Pollet, Averie Crow, Zoe Pollet and Amelia Crow. He was preceded to heaven by his father, Orville La"Ray" Pollet; mother, Maxine Roberts Pollet; sister, Gaylene Shurley.
Floyd loved life and enjoyed hunting with his friend, Gary Germundson, and his sons, Kelly and Rusty. He loved making deer jerky and chili for friends and family to enjoy. Floyd loved coaching student athletes in competitive sports during his 20-year coaching career. He had a successful career as an Administrator, but his passion was for Coaching. Floyd was inducted into the Coaching Hall of Fame for Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association in 2010.
One of his favorite things in life was football watch parties and get-togethers with their close-knit group of friends that called themselves the "Goofballs," and you know who you are! Most of all, Floyd cherished memories of travel with his loving wife, Karen, and their friends Karen and Dean Berkenbile. He was proud of the fact that his father, Ray Pollet, was a World War II Veteran. Floyd shared all he knew about that with his children. All who knew Floyd, loved Floyd. He was a selfless man of integrity, a great husband, father and friend to all. This quote exemplifies who he was "Your life is as good as your mindset."
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to MDA/ALS of OKC, Salvation Army or St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Condolences may be made online at www.andersonburris.com.

So glad I was able to work under him at EHS. He made my position as a secretary easy. Such respect for him. He truly loved his family! Certainly will be missed.
