Connor Levi Schomber

May 12, 1992 - July 27, 2018

Celebration of life for Connor Levi Schomber, 26, will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the Faith Center Fellowship, Meno, Oklahoma, with Pastor Cody Anderson officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by the United States Marine Corps.
Cremation will follow the service, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Visitation for family and friends is 6-7:00 p.m. Friday evening, August 10, 2018, at the funeral home.
Connor was born May 12, 1992, in Enid to David and Julie Brakhage Schomber. After graduation, he joined the Marines, which took him to all corners of the world. He finished his service on December 7, 2017, as a Marine security guard for overseas embassies.
After some time off, he was hired by Cactus Drilling Co. as a top drive tech. He reenlisted into the reserves as a counter mortar/radar tech. Connor passed away on July 27, 2018, at Camp Pendleton, California.
Connor graduated from Ringwood High School and soon after joined the United States Marine Corp in 2011.
He had a passion for hunting, scuba diving, surfing, bungee jumping, trapping, drone flying, photography, working out, and was an avid lover of Chick-fil-A sauce.
He was always trying to outdo his brothers, in shooting, bow hunting, or anything they did together. Connor was the life of the party and known for playing pranks on others. He loved to ride his Ducati and was proud of his lifted truck.
In addition to his parents, Connor is survived by two brothers, Zach and Trevor; his maternal grandfather Gerald Brakhage; his paternal grandmother Christine Schomber; and many other extended family members.
He was preceded by his maternal grandmother Rosella Brakhage and paternal grandfather Bob Schomber, uncle Gentry Brakhage, and cousin Brok Griffin.
Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris Funeral Home to Wounded Warrior Project or the Marine K-9 Unit. Condolences are available online at

I am so sorry for ur loss. Tyler thought a lot of Connor. They both worked really hard to get into the Marines. Connor contacted me after Tyler passed and we had a great conversation about Tyler. He was such a sweet person. My prayers are with you and your family.

So sorry for your loss, our son was Marine security guard for overseas embassies as well and knew Conner, I can see the bond they had from the pictures I saw of them.
